About Us

Founded by Tabria Nalette Rector, a proud Maryland native, the brand carries a meaningful personal history. Born to two Deaf parents, Tabria is a CODA, Child of Deaf Adults, and grew up with American Sign Language as her first language. In her early years, she often pronounced certain words differently or spoke with a softened tone until receiving speech therapy.

One of her most cherished memories is visiting the beach with her mother, where she famously mispronounced “bathing suit” as “babe-n-suit.” As she grew older, that innocent moment transformed into a powerful brand name; one that honors her roots, her identity, and the joy of self-expression. Babe N’ Suit was created as a celebration of all women and the stories that shape them.

Though the name Babe N’ Suit was born from a little girl’s adorable mispronunciation of “bathing suit,” the brand itself is deeply rooted in Black women’s culture, celebrating confidence, curves, and the joy of expressing oneself through stunning swimwear. Babe N’ Suit also draws inspiration from Deaf culture, reminding us that no matter where you’re from, what you look like, or your ability or disability, we are all babes in a suit.

At Babe N’ Suit, our mission is to spark excitement and elevate self-confidence through styles ranging from classy to boldly sexy, created for every woman. There is nothing more extraordinary than a woman’s body. It’s unique, powerful, and beautifully made. Our hope is that every woman feels seen, celebrated, and secure while rocking their Babe N’ Suit swimwear.

Babe N’ Suit is a tribute to women’s strength, individuality, and the beauty of the feminine form.
